The Nobel Peace Prize

The Peace Prize is the only Nobel Prize that is awarded by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which is elected by the Norwegian Parliament. It’s awarded to:

…the person who has done the most or best to advance fellowship among nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and the establishment and promotion of peace congresses…

You can take part in the editathon onsite at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo or on Zoom. Onsite participation is CEST 10.30-12.00 / UTC 8.30-10.00 – please sign up! The Zoom event lasts for an hour, starting at CEST 10.45 / UTC 8:45, and you don’t need to sign up beforehand.

  Let’s edit! We will help each other find reliable sources and then edit the Wikimedia projects, particularly Wikipedia, and add details about the Laureate and why that person or organisation has been awarded the prize.
